I was intrigued by your "30 GB Card for $1". But it does not appear to be a real product just yet. They were rumored to be produced in 2006 but that never happened. Got my hopes up for nothing. :(

XMPP/Jabber

Ogg Vorbis

Ubuntu Linux

Firefox and other XUL applications

Joost (I'm waiting for a Linux version)

Wireless phones that uses WiFi + VoIP

Attempts to break HD-DVD/Bluray encryption

OpenDocument Format as an industry standard

And just a little ;): New merged Combiz and Beryl projects (3D effects on Linux desktop) and wine (run windows programs under Linux).

Neat. I'm pondering getting one too... so I can check out stuff like the new Virtua Figher...

One word: Wii.
A PS3 is a PS2 with better graphics- nothing new. If you want a blu-ray player, buy a PS3. If you want to play games in a new way, buy a wii. You dont need a HD TV.

If you want to play games with good old keyboard – buy a pc! (if you already own one, buy a new hardware.)

:)))

The Wii is good when I can get on there, my sister won't stop playing on it!!!
And free legal music is something everyone wants, I think :-)

30GB in my wallet also sounds nice!

Hey, Ubuntu 7.04 Feisty Fawn is supposed to be as of today...why isn't it?

Well...apparently the release candidate was supposed to be out on Thursday but they had to delay it one week. This makes me so sad :(I was all excited to get Beryl today too!!!

Ludwik Trammer [PersonRank 10]

The release candidate was delayed due problems with displaying connection status by network-manager and with some of the ATI chipsets. I'm also not happy about it, thought I'm sure they know what they are doing.

BTW – all you Windows users out there – in two weeks there will be new stable Ubuntu version (7.04). Let's download it and just try (it's an LiveCD). I think you will be surprised how cool it is.

Two weeks??? I thought it was one! Ahhhhh :(

Ubuntu really rocks, but I prefer KDE versions like Kubuntu

It was supposed to be one, and I didn't hear any official announcement about changes, but I have a feeling that delay of RC version will delay also the stable version. It's Ubuntu policy to publish stable version not sooner than one week after the RC version was published. Shorter time could not be enough testing period.

> I prefer KDE versions like Kubuntu

Gnome rulez!

(I'm kidding, I don't want to start another Gnome vs. KDE, Emacs vs. Vi, Debian vs. Slack kind of endless discussion ;)

It's better than the PS3 vs. Wii argument that almost took off

I forgot about auto-disinfecting surfaces that can make for a self cleaning mouse and even a bathroom that cleans itself!!!
