I would love to see someone (probably Google itself) come up with an easier way of doing this. We need a button, just like a "Blog it" button, which can quickly put the stuff you have selected in your browser into your gmail.

It would be great for 'the button' to have an option of adding a weblink of the source page (again, like 'blog it') and an automated label like 'clippings'/'notes'. (so that you can find all the 'clippings' later.)

Think of it – you see something on the web that you want note down, you just select it and push the 'save to gmail' button and you're done! It would be like having your own webbased notepad.
