For the last couple of days I am losing all my bookmarks. When I boot up and start FF, I get the Google window popping as described in this post
http://blogoscoped.com/archive/2007-04-15-n66.html
that is, allow/disallow Google download screen.. I have both enabled along with safe search etc..but after clicking 'fini'.. I find that all my book marks are lost.
I have done some research on the web and still not finding the root cause and how-to clean up.
any suggestions and pointers will be appreciated..!!!

Pd exactly which version of Firefox are you using? |
Gecko/20070312 Firefox/1.5.0.11 Browser: Mozilla/5.0 |
Can you upgrade to Firefox 2? |
yeah maybe I should upgrade. Already upgraded to the new Google Toolbar.. however persistent loss is in occurrence even after that!!
here's some screen shoots.

Check to see if you're running your Normal (Everyday use) Profile.
For some reason Google Toolbar used to create a New Profile and default the boot to that. |
Wait I see Skype, so that must mean you still have your tweaked settings and extensions right ? |
yup all ext are there.. and yes to running on normal profile..
heck, I spent nearly 3 -4 hrs on this issue.. only bookmarks seem to disappear!!
I normally drop bookmarks into a folder and then open all in tabs.. this makes it easier to switch between categories of sites!!
