Early Sunday morning, a gasoline tanker exploded on a busy highway bridge in San Francisco. The heat caused the bridge to collapse, blocking two major highways.
According to the San Francisco Chronicle's blog (http://www.sfgate.com/cgi-bin/blogs/nwzchik/detail?blogid=32&entry_id=15951)
"Reader John Baynham says 'I was having trouble figuring out exactly where the crash site was so I created a Google map outlining the collapsed sections.'"
His public Google Map can be found here: http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UTF8&oe=UTF-8&q=&hl=en&om=1&z=17&ll=37.828091,-122.293378&spn=0.004602,0.008154&t=h&msid=105631791536387153519.000001123e2ee960ddb0c&msa=0
There's also amateur YouTube video showing the fire that caused the collapse: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8tjs5ILNkJc |
