Just download an FLV plug-in. The new Adobe Media Player will be based around FLV files.

I need AVI files for my MP4 player. It supports AVI files only.

You don't need the extention from javimoya Marcin. It is like a bookmarklet, its just a buton. But i you want you can just paste the url into the website

James: well it's clearly an extension, not bookmarklet, I went to the website and checked. Not saying that it's completely bad or something; but a bookmarklet is just much smaller, more portable, no possible impact on Firefox stability etc.

David – to download fast as well as play it (just drop it in) easily, you could try ZillaTube (at http://www.zillatube.com). Also convert youtube files with good quality mpg/avi videos, and much more. All-in-one-package, very convenient.
