I got bored the other day and decided to find out which websites were currently the top result for each letter of the alphabet in Google, Yahoo and Live.

Quite a lot of Wikipedia entries, which I expected, but less big company results than I expected though.

E, G, Q, R, and X are the only letters that are the same as they say in 55 Ways (Chapter 20)

There's 9 results for Wikipedia in Google!!! AAHHH Wikipedia's taking over the world! (wide web)

Here's a comparison of Google top results – February 2003 (my data) and 2007 (your data):

A – Apple ------ W3C
B – B'Tselem ------ Physical Review
C – CNET.com ------ Wikipedia (C programming)
D – D-Link Systems, Inc. ------ Wikipedia
E – E! Online ------ E! Online
F – F-Secure ------ Fahrenheit
G – Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation ------ Gmail
H – H-Net, Humanities & Social Sciences Online ------ Wikipedia (hydrogen)
I – Disney Online ------ iTunes
J – j-phone.com ------ Jsoftware
K – K Desktop Environment Home ------ Wikipedia
L – LEXPRESS.fr ------ Wikipedia
M – 3M Worldwide ------ M (movie)
N – SBC Pacific Bell Knowledge Network Explorer ------ The N
O – O'Reilly & Associates ------ Wikipedia (Oxygen)
P – Alfred P. Sloan Foundation ------ P paragraph in HTML
Q – Q4music.com ------ Q4Music.com

(I didn't record more than that at the time http://www.outer-court.com/links/google_links.htm .)

Little stayed the same, and a lot's been taken over by Wikipedia.
