WPS is a famouse china original software that same as Microsoft Office. It is Original China designed software, its history was very old. Do you remember Wang computer company? WPS was the software that have the same function at the beginning. WPS can running at 8086.

Later, WPS’s life was so hard cause Microsoft Office was free in China. Microsoft very clever, free software can take the market very fast. But also because its haughty, he can not make money for so long time. In fact, if Microsoft select to combine with WPS, both win.

Now, when everybody forget WPS, at Google Developer Day 2007 Beijing, Wan Li, the vice president of WPS announced, that new version WPS will fully based on Google API.

I guess Google China will give WPS a strong support, including programmers, money, and market. WPS has a good relationship with China Goverment, China Goverment use WPS at DOS century. And now, WPS still have 56% goverment market share at the Center Goverment and have 70% goverment market share at the Sub Goverment.

As we know, Google China still try to fix the relationship with China Goverment. Now, work with WPS can make a big step in their trying.

And, I guess WPS that based on the Google API will give Google China the full support as return. We can guess, a PC preinstalled Ubuntu, WPS, and other main software will be own 90% goverment share, and for the common market, this combine also welcome.

Combined with Google China, WPS can be free for the common market, Google China will pay for it. The reason is very simple, in the common market, WPS is free, in the Goverment market, WPS only sold at USD0.25 price.

How much will a china user can creat value for Google? When this user default home page is http://www.Google.cn, and its Video Service is YouTube, and he can post the blog on the WPS to Blogger, and so on…

China is the first battlefield that Google can fully defeat Microsoft. China is a hard and huge market. Who can win in China, who can win in the world.
