I'm highly suspicious of any award where you need to pay $95 to be even considered for the blog category... so only rich bloggers get to be awarded or what?

Is that why Yahoo got 5 awards this year? They're willing to pay up.

And David Bowie gets a Webby life-time achievement award!*

Wait, is that the same David Bowie that has been sitting in the Webby Award jury for the past years, prominently lending his name to the website?

"Judges of the finalists include entertainment icons such as David Bowie and Francis Ford Coppola, television chef Julia Child, New Age author Deepak Chopra, and cartoonist Matt Groening."

"The Webby Awards is presented by the Academy, a global organization with over 500 members including musician David Bowie"
