I would prefer something that's indipendent by the browser, just like notifier, but it seems that the development has stopped though: they haven't realased a new one for a lot!

Yeah, you're right. They didn't release an update for Google Talk a long time now (Google Talk as a client , not Google Talk gadget)
And for some reason, Gmail Notifier can notify you on emails only if you're signed in to your account on IE.
Anyone knows how to change it, if you can change it?

They worte on their FAQ that a new version would have been realased with features such as the multiple accounts support, but it seems that it's gotta lost!
