I am just posting to let you all know that Gmail has made a public debut. Users can sign up via their cell phone. This is not a joke, check out www.gmail.com.

I saw this in the official Google Blog too, but so far couldn't see the sign-up on the gmail.com. I suppose they're rolling this out for the US-only at the moment, checking IPs to verify where you're from.

They only let you sign up via mobile phone to prevent spam.
