Recently YouTube implemented a "History" feature to track what videos you watch. (They only track videos you watch on the YouTube.com site itself, not embedded videos you watch from external sites.) Naturally I looked for a way to turn it off, only to find out you can't turn it off. They have a way to manually clear your history if you want to, but who wants to do that over and over again?
I sent off a feedback form to YouTube to ask them to provide a way to turn the feature off, but who knows when/if they will implement it. In the meantime, I created a Firefox extension to handle the problem. Basically it just automatically wipes your YouTube history every single time you watch a video.
You can get the extension here:

I hope others find it useful. |
Sounds nice. Thanks Dylan! :) |
history is only activated for 30 minutes at a time and you have to sign up first |
Well, then call me over-paranoid! :D |
