By mistake I typed googlr.com & it got redirected to google.com
Just wondering how many such spelling mistakes does google handle? |
Google's spelling correction is based on user search queries. The most popular spelling is the "correct" spelling. Search engines know more about spelling variation than anyone else! |
Brian – I think he meant he typed the wrong domain name in his browser and it redirected to google.com. So how many incorrectly spelled domain names does Google own? |
If any1 uses gmail on mobile... Please tell the meaning of message appearing on screen when i try to connect thru gmail app. Message:"STOP: This program requires a data connection. Please contact your carrier, or visit the GMail FAQ on your computer for more info." Please send me the solution.... Thanxx in advance. |
Dhananjay – Your phone is telling you that you will have to have a data connection to connect to the Gmail service on your mobile phone. If you don't have a data plan with your current mobile phone provider, then you won't be able to connect to the Gmail service. If you do have a data plan with your mobile phone contract, I would follow whatever the FAQ says on Gmail Mobile. |
Well if you want to know how many o's you can have a look here [ http://slazy.net/wp-content/uploads/2006/09/goooogle_big.gif] Via [ http://blogoscoped.com/archive/2006-09-08.html#n10]
Other than that I have no idea |
According to the above they don't own htttp://gooooogle.com yet it redirects to google.ie for me. |
Ooo wait found another of Philipp's posts http://www.googel.com http://wwwgoogle.com http://www.foofle.com http://www.goolge.com http://www.googel.de
not too shore about: http://www.googlee.com http://www.gppgle.com (they go to Google English but stay on the domains rather than going to google.com)
[ http://blogoscoped.com/archive/2003_11_18_index.html] P.S. Quite a few of the descriptions of content are out dated, eg. Google's got some more of the domains. |
I think that post from 2003 might have a typo...
<< # www.goolge.com – Google itself. # www.google.com – Hit-the-bear-and-win spam. >> http://blogoscoped.com/archive/2003_11_18_index.html
Perhaps those two are the wrong way round? ;-) |
goolge redirects to google.ie for me |
> I think that post from 2003 might have a typo...
Heh, oops. |
They must have many domains, not only because of typos but because of possible fraud... |
very true, but is there a way to see the list
just for curiosity/fun :)
