Google Weather

[52 degrees Fahrenheit, Clear, Wind: N at 0 mph]

Google added a new feature: weather forecasts. This service works in the US only. Type e.g. “weather palo alto, ca” (zip codes are fine as well) and you get an instant information item. Yahoo is providing the same service for quite a while already.

This service can also be used via the hand phone, as Google Software Engineer Ben Sigelman writes in the official Google blog. You can use Google SMS to send a text message to the US shortcode GOOGL (the numbers 46645) followed by your query.

[Thanks Ed in the forum.]
