Patternizer

Using Yahoo image search thumbnails sorted into different color categories, I created the Patternizer program to create larger images out of smaller ones*. Here’s the gallery, and you can move your mouse over the images to see bigger thumbnails:

*How did I sort the thumbnails into colors? I collected different colors by searching for “dark water”, “grass”, “black”, “snow” etc., and then manually picked good ones. The Patternizer itself then is written in PHP5 and uses the image functions to analyze the original image and create the DHTML-collage.
