Google Informs About Earthquake

Google links to news about today’s Sumatra earthquake. It’s a magnitude 8.7, only slightly much lower than the earthquake which caused the devastating Tsunami the end of last year. While several people have been killed, according to the U.S. Geological Survey quoted by CNN, the Tsunami which has been detected is “small”. According to CNN, the exact magnitude is not yet know, but other sources like the German Spiegel already report there will be no “killer wave.”

The news of the earthquake has spread fast to blogspace as well, with a variety of major blogs – BoingBoing, Metafilter, Doc Searls, Kottke, Buzzmachine, Waxy, Scripting.com and others – informing people.
