April 2nd

Now that April Fool’s passed, it’s time to debunk a few things. Yesterday, you probably already noticed, many news items here (and elsewhere) were a hoax. Among those, the only two official Google pranks were Google Romance and the Google Earth aliens (with no real product launch by Google, from what I know). Google Rooms was a prank of my own – one which I could start several hours in advance of the US from the German time zone – so there was no anonymous Googler this time... even though I guess Google got quite a few hits on the google.com/room URL!
