AdWords Position Preferences

The Search Engine Watch blog has news of a “position preference” feature that is currently being rolled out for Google AdWords. According to SEW, you can now opt-out of low positions, and determine that your ads appear only in e.g. the first and second spot. (Naturally this doesn’t increase your chances to get into this position often.)
