Adam Trachtenberg has screenshots showing (static) Google Maps within Google’s web search results. In the sample search for [Kai Pradel] shown, the second result contains an address, so Google displays this location next to the result snippet.
I can’t reproduce this... but if it’s not a doctored screen and Adam doesn’t happen to use any Firefox extensiong triggering this, then it’s Google doing one of their occasional result prototypes. And it’s an example of the “San Angeles” strategy Google’s Marissa Mayer once mentioned – the merging of existing products where it makes sense.
