Google Video Shows Views

Nice – Google Video now shows the number of views for each video, e.g. 484 for this unpopular video I uploaded or over half a million for this popular video. This is strategic information competitors in this field might be interested too, but most of all, it’s good feedback for a community site in which users take pride in content they provide.

I’d love to see this “views” or “yesterday’s views” feature being rolled out on many different Google tools; views of a particular newsgroup posting through Google Groups, clicks on a specific result in web search, views of a thumbnail of an image in Google image search, views of a Sketchup 3D model, views of a Picasa image and so on.

Now... who can find the video with the most total views on Google Video?
