Google Base 2?

Froogle was removed from Google’s homepage over two months ago, but Garett Rogers discovered traces of a new kind of Google Base search result optimized to find products. E.g. searching for ice cream makers, you are presented with 3 different views:
- List View: putting products below each other, including snippets.
- Grid View: putting products next to each other, details showing on hover.
- Map View: putting products onto a Google Map.
All views let you refine the type of product with combo boxes like “brand” or “price,” similar to what you can see on the current
Google Base (which recently saw its search box removed, unusual for Google but perhaps making more sense if the results are rolled out more often in Google’s main web results one of these days).
