Missing Folders in Google Docs

An official Google Docs guide by the name of Chandler yesterday posted the following to the Google Docs help group (subject: “Missing Folders - not for long!”):

Thanks for letting us know about the problems you’ve been experiencing with your missing folders. I want to assure you that we have been investigating each and every instance of this. No data has been lost and all of you should have your folders back in early January.

I don’t have these problems with my Docs account. But for those who experience this, as folders are just one type of “view” at Google Docs, the missing files are still around e.g. on the Docs homepage after logging in. Still, to expect people to wait a full month or more for this to be resolved – a “Folders have disappeared” thread has been around since November 21 – seems awkwardly long.
