Google Chrome Update With Form Auto-Completion And More

The latest preview version of Google Chrome features a couple of additions, Google announced, including:

• CSS gradients, CSS canvas drawing, reflections and masks
• form auto-completion
• a full-page zoom when you use the Ctrl-Plus/ Ctrl-Minus shortcuts, as opposed to just increasing the font size
• more spellchecking customization options

When I tried this version, it messed with my Windows task bar visibility, and also distorted this blog’s layout, so for serious usage I’d have to go back to an older version.

If you want to try out the preview, you need to:

• Install Chrome if you haven’t already, then run Chrome’s channel switcher executable (Google suggests to make a backup first)
• Check the Developer channel option and save your settings
• Start Chrome and pick -> About Google Chrome, then hit the Update Now button
• Restart all Chrome windows
