Google’s User Interest Categories for Ad Targeting
Some of Google’s advertisers are offered to base their campaigns to target specific interests of users, as discussed in the previous post
. The ad preferences page
gives a clue as to which categories those may be (note Google states they “will not show ads based on sensitive information or interest categories, such as those based on race, religion, sexual orientation, health, or sensitive financial categories, without a user’s opt-in consent"; I’m not sure if some of the below interests, like Finance & Insurance -> Debt Management, would only be passed on when you manually add them)
