Insert Images Into Gmail

Gmail has a new opt-in “Labs"* feature that allows you to insert images when in rich-text editing more. To get this working for you, enable the feature called “Inserting images”. Now you can add pics either by uploading, or by referencing an image URL, though neither approach will guarantee that your image will be shown in email clients on the receiving end... for instance, Gmail protects recipients from URL-referencing images, and Hotmail protects even from embedded images.
