Google O3D, a 3D Plug-In & Development Framework

A scene from Google’s demo titled “The Journies of Prince IO”
Google released
O3D, a framework they
describe as “a new, shader-based, low-level graphics API for creating interactive 3D applications in a web browser”. The
video demo Google shows off looks impressive (it’s based on an 18+ MB page), but it should be noted that this is all
plug-in based, and there are other impressive looking browser 3D plug-ins out there too, like
Unity. Still, this all looks like a very interesting development.
