Yes, thanks, I've also noticed this and will call support. Tony also confirmed this.

The server has been restarted I believe, I'm interested in feedback how it works now. I will now check some other info. Unfortunately it is still slow for me...

There are no Network Timeout errors by browser any more, but the site is remarkable slow. I.e. the response times are high.

Slow here in canada too. 2 second loading to have this page up, images are coming long time after the page is loaded

Seems to be up to speed now. At least where I am.

Sorry, Hit the submit button to early, I meant to congratulate Philipp on getting things sorted out quickly and that Blogoscoped is back up again! ^.^

Was there any particular reason for the outage?

They finally did restart the server, they only restarted the Apache service before despite me asking for a full restart.

Unfortunately, it looks like due to my fault some recent forum member icons might have been lost now.

As Fabio, I also thought this slow time was due to Google's link to blogoscoped on Twitter. But after a little search, I've discovered that "only" 1800 persons came to this site http://bitly.com/info/33fymW
=> As I use to say: there are more press articles about Twitter than Twitter users...

2 seconds was not the delay – it was almost a minute here.

Yeah same hear, many times my browser timed-out.

Thanks for confirming, that was the situation exactly, and then the response times were remarkable high

Ask your host if they can move you to a server running LiteSpeed instead of Apache, it's alot faster.

(Thanks to Tony for recovering 3 member icons that went lost!)

It was slow today too, especially when posting...

Yup, again I've been getting timeouts but it's not as bad.

Probably the issue has been resolved, there is no delays when posting now...
