Yep.. www.google.com
The person looks really weird. |
And they've actually created a different logo for each team:
United States: http://www.google.com/logos/worldcup06.gif
England (despite the filename, it's not UK – it's England): http://www.google.co.uk/logos/worldcup06_uk.gif
Germany: http://www.google.co.uk/logos/worldcup06_de.gif
Brazil: http://www.google.co.uk/logos/worldcup06_br.gif
etc...
|
Localized versions have this logo as well: http://www.google.fi/ (Finland)
clicking the logo goes to http://www.google.fi/search?q=2006+world+football
Many new World Cup entries in Finnsh here as well: http://www.google.fi/ig

/pd: it is spot the difference. They each are wearing different shirt/short colours to match those that they wear in the game. |

http://www.google.com/logos/worldcup_kr.gif Korea
after 25 minutes of searching for more pictures.. ive just realised that its from the 2002 world cup..

Germany |
ohh and what about The Netherlands?! anyone seen a picture of Netherlands?! |
http://www.google.nl/logos/worldcup06.gif
Shouldn't that be orange? |
The domain is irrelevant – it's the filename that changes:
http://www.google.com/logos/worldcup06_nl.gif
BTW, see this comment for all the different team logos:

OT: Philipp – any chance you can put a permalink next to each comment in a thread? That would save us viewing the HTML source or double clicking the timestamp to get the comment ID whenever we need to refer to a specific comment... |

Those images are definitely different. Perhaps you're not looking closely enough... |

Good idea, you can now click on the date for that. |
The a tags were alredy there. If you looked at the source code, you could've get it. It's weird to see a link that has a double-click event. |

Great. I'm sure this will prove useful!

Yep, I knew that. (Which is why I said: "That would save us viewing the HTML source...") Don't forget that the double click event isn't for public use, so you can ignore that and just use the link as normal. |
