To summarize, when you click the button the subscribe to a feed, it appends [&client=firetools] to the URL which removes the option for subscribing to the feed using Google Reader – e.g.:
google.com/ig/add?feedurl=exam ...
vs.
google.com/ig/add?feedurl=exam ...
You can remove this manually yourself by typing [about:config] into your address bar and removing the [&client=firetools] from the[google.toolbar.subscribe.aggregators.iGoogle.url] preference value. |
