Does anyone know how to get rid of those 2 dashes that appear above your signature? (Other than deleting them in the actual message of course)

Those dashes are important and should not be deleted. Most email clients use them to recognize the signature and separate it from the message content (or remove it if that's what you want).

<< The formatting of the sig block is prescribed somewhat more firmly: it should be displayed as plain text in a fixed-width font (no HTML, images, or other rich text), and must be delimited from the body of the message by a single line consisting of exactly two hyphens, followed by a space, followed by the end of line (i.e., "-- n"). >>

... and I believe it was Microsoft Outlook Express which famously deleted that space after the two dashes, causing lots of confusion in newsgroups! :)

As Ionut said, the dashes are necesary to know where the signature starts...
They don't look bad, though..
