I prefer Sky News' Google Map of the floods – http://news.sky.com/skynews/fixed_article/0,,30100-1272280,00.html. Both are reviewed on http://www.virtualtourism.blogspot.com/

Those floods in the Sky map are from June this year, not the latest problems we're having in Oxfordshire and Gloucestershire.

Still, both very good mashups.
