I was pretty bored today and was just messing around with Picasa...and I found the folder on my hard drive where all my album covers are stored. I realized that I can easily just upload the entire folder to Picasa Web and use the embedded slideshow feature to have a slideshow of all the CDs I own. Whole process took about 5 minutes and makes a cool to show of your taste in music...
I put this up as an example: http://www.backyardmarchingband.com/mycds.php
Anyone else have some favorite tricks with Picasa? |
I am having fun with Picasa too... I use this fuction to take my last pictures uploaded and display them on my blog: http://thetitoo.blogspot.com
<embed pluginspage="http:// www.macromedia.com/go/getflashplayer" width="288" src="http:// picasaweb.google.com/s/c/bin/slideshow.swf" height="192" flashvars="host=picasaweb.google.com& noautoplay=1&RGB=0x000000&feed=http%3A%2F%2F picasaweb.google.com%2Fdata%2Ffeed%2Fapi%2Fuser%2F hubert.christophe%3Fkind%3Dphoto%26alt%3Drss" type="application/x-shockwave-flash"></embed>
I am using the about ther same thing for my videos.. Using Youtube and their last personnal video viewer.
<div align="center"><object width="320" height="320"><param value="http:// www.youtube.com/cp/vjVQa1PpcFPsbd_ RVlVY06bzE-kjsWXP7R5f-hg_1LQ=" name="movie"/><param value="transparent" name="wmode"/><embed width="320" src="http:// www.youtube.com/cp/vjVQa1PpcFPsbd_RVlVY06bzE- kjsWXP7R5f-hg_1LQ=" wmode="transparent" height="320" type="application/x-shockwave-flash"></embed></object></div>
And to make it easy I use the (pretty convenient) Firefox extension: FireUploader.
