In IE6, if I wanna copy a Jpeg and paste it into Gmail, there is it. Why can't I do the same in FF? |
I use Vista so I don't have a copy of IE6, but I can't seem to do this in IE7.
When you say paste it into Gmail, do you mean literally, copy + paste it into a message? |
yup. Control-C on the image, Control V onto the open GM window. Image goes right in, using IE6. Wont do it in FF.
I can't install IE7 either, some file appears missing. Some EntryPoint thing.
No matter----I see a 20" iMac in my future.
Hello, Safari. |
No Brinkie! Dont do it! One of us! One of us! Even if you do go *shudders* mac, go firefox. And before you go mac consider this video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XqN76gYKHMs&mode=related&search= |
Brinke, it works fine for me in Firefox 2.0.0.6. Just make sure you have the image highlighted and it should copy without any problems. |
I tried to send an image using this method, I copied the image in Gmail rich text editor, but Gmail sent everything except that image. |
Ionut, did you send it to a Gmail address? If so, are you sure Gmail didn't actually send it and just not display it?
I tried the same thing and in Gmail the sent image was hidden but in both Outlook and another webmail client it displayed fine. |
Yes, I sent it to a Gmail address. The code includes an img tag for that image, but Gmail is not able to render it.
<img alt="URL" src="URL"> |
Weird. It works fine for me. Are you getting that code in the "Show original" view? Do you not even see the "Display images below" link? (I think I might have just missed that link before when I said the image was hidden...) |
Oh, sorry. The image was in the "quoted text" area for some reason. |
