Techcrunch is the first to break the rumor – and it is just hours away from the Digg homepage (judging by this top members past successes)
Which means that in just one day it will spread across the blogsphere like wildfire
http://news.netscape.com/story/2007/08/09/netscape-closing-down-its-social-news-voting-site-says-techcrunch
There is a submission asking for their side of the story and to see if members could make a last ditch effort
But it would another sign of Digg's invicibility ........Even if you manage to attract the top members for both Digg and Reddit and PAY THEM........it does not guarantee success.
It is interesting how Blogoscoped forum has gotten so successful – even though there are no sig links or Website links allowed |
Oh, my... Netscape Social is one of top Social Bookmarking site... Why in the first place ranking in top 10 be closed down... Hmmm... |
NetScape Social just wasn't innovative – it was a copycat. Digg was innovative in its own way.

Umm, maybe the Blogoscoped forum has gotten successful BECAUSE there are no sig links or website links allowed. It helps to keep the signal-to-noise ratio high. (There are many other good reasons too, of course). |
