Google SiteSearch doesn't allow subdomains, and they don't roll together the results.
This is much different, much better.

Hashim, you're right they don't seem to allow to roll together results. However, subdomains do work. I just tried wih blog.outer-court.com and it searched my blog, but not outer-court.com – just what you'd expect. |
Hashim, Google's site search *does* allow subdomains :-
http://blogoscoped.com/archive/2005-04-11-html#n24
But Rollyo doesn't :-
http://www.rollyo.com/createroll.html
"Rollyo searches entire sites such as www.cnn.com or support.apple.com, but not parts of sites, such as www.cnn.com/politics/."
And while Rollyo requires a sign-up and logon, Google doesn't (notwithstanding Philipp's less than ideal link to Google's unnecessary 'Google Free' signup page). Moreover, with Google you can include your chosen sites as radio buttons on your main Google bookmark, or within the built-in searches in Firefox, Opera, etc, or as a Bookmarklet :-

And who wants Yahoo results! ;)
But you're right that you can't "roll together the results" with Google, and that Rollyo is different, and much better in some ways. |
