How do I Cc contact in Gmail, using addresses from my contact list? I want to be able to compose a message, open my contact list and be able to click on the primary contact and those I'd like to Cc. Right now, if I compose a message, I can get the contacts all in To: or all in Cc:. But I want to compose to my primary contact "To:" and secondary contact "Cc:"

I think you can't, and I miss that function too :/

I can suggest two ways.

Method I:
Go to your contacts. Check the boxes for the names you want in the "to" and "cc" fields. Click the compose button. Cut the "cc" name from the "to" field and paste it into the "cc" field.

Method II
I found this out by using gmail help.

If you start typing into the "cc" field it should make suggestions from your contact list. This seems to work with the standard (heavy) version of gmail.
I normally use the light version via the /h option.

Method II does not seem to work with that option.

what I would really like is automatic cc on every outbound message to send a copy to my ISP account. Rules cannot add cc's or do autoforwarding of outbound messages AFAICS
