Speaking as someone who's done a guest post for an 'official' Google blog, I can say from experience that they give the blogger's words a 'polish' before it goes out. Nothing too drastic (no content changes, just grammar / phrasing), just the sort of editorial spit-and-polish you'd expect from a PR department.
