I don't know, seems like they just cut down on costs by giving out free Google alternatives...This seems like a computer for parents who want to get their kids a Christmas present and don't really know how to tell if something is good.

Well actually linux is already free...

and i'd say that this seems more like a nice slimmed down computer for people who don't need much more than it already offers.
