So my web history does not distinguish between sites i visit (w/o searching) and searches I do on google. Its showing i search for over 200 items a day. which is ridiculous because I use google Maybe at MOST 20 times or lets even say 30 times a day. when I noticed this i looked a bit closer in my history and every site i visited is labeled as "searched for" I am pretty sure that this didnt used to be the case and they were logged separately. anyone else seeing this? is this a setting in my toolbar that i have incorrect or just a bug?

It's probably a mistake: they forgot to adjust the text for those who enable Web History and actually use it.

Well no, my friends works perfectly fine, and it was working fine before.

it also sends all the search trends and everything into disarray....

This might be a silly question... but do you use your address bar when you enter a URL in your browser or do you just type them into your search box?

Do you use browse by name? For example, do you just type 'bbc news' into the address bar?

no i usally use the address bar. I know I thought about that also. sometime i use browse by name but thats understandable. most of the time i use bookmarks.

but also lets say i go to bbc new, browse by name or enter the actual web address. then every link that i click on bbc news also come up as "searched for" in my web hstory and the actual link so here is an example for when i was on yelp last night

im pretty sure i didnt search for those urls, I just clicked on the links... so they shouldnt be categorized as my searches, but as my actual web browsing history
