I've been searching to find a link i can put on my bookmarks that would open the Google Talk gadget as a popup window(not the the sidebar) but no luck until now.
There's a link on the talk.google.com that says "Launch Google Talk Gadget " and it opens the gadget as i want but i can't seem to make it work as a bookmark.
Any help is appreciated. |
You mean this? :
<< Bookmarklet: Drag Google Talk to your Bookmarks Bar for 1-click access to a floating version of Google Talk. >>

I'm using this link (it's brought up when I just type "talk", too, as I have that bookmark keyword in Firefox):
http://talkgadget.google.com/talkgadget/popout |
David, that bookmarklet loads in the sidebar. I want the one that pops out on a single window.
Philip When i click that link in Firefox, it opens it in a new tab, it doesn't pop out. |
<< it doesn't pop out >>
You need to use JavaScript for that. |
Any direct link for that? |
I got it. I've added a new bookmark and i added this in the location: javascript:(function(){open('http://talkgadget.google.com/talkgadget/popout','_blank','width=300,height=445,toolbar=0,status=0,menubar=0,location=1,resizable=1,scrollbars=0')})();javascript:urchinTracker('/talk/outgoing/gadget')
Works as expected. |
