gPhone rumors have been flying round for ages. Personally if the price was right (and released in the UK on PAYG) I would but it just because it's Google :P

Same, I saw it come up on Slashdot, and I'll say here what I would have said on Slashdot had I had not had moderator points to burn:

No. Android isn't even on a phone yet, Google's had a challenge convincing manufacturers to dump WinMo for Android, why would they then pull a Microsoft and start competing with their partners? They have nothing to gain but plenty to lose.
