Just tested it from my home phone in Ontario (800-4664-411), and it asked what City and PROVINCE. It worked for my home city, and I got local results!! THIS IS AWESOME!! Now I can connect to any business in Canada for FREE!!!

I'm near Toronto, and it works!!!!!
Thanks Google: as an exchange student, I haven't suscribed to a local operator. And even if the Google voice ask a "Province", it can connect you to a US business for FREE. It will be so easier to plan my next trip in the US. Yeah!

but they seem to not support French... It could pose problemes as Google records calls to improve their system: if people ask for "supermarché" instead of "mall", it may be an issue. I asked for businesses in Montréal and all my French researches failed :(

As of a few days ago, goog-411 was enabled in Canada. The message now says "City and Province" instead of "City and State". However, you can still choose US cities.

Can you call Canadian cities from the US?

Already posted, but no answer to the question US-CA calls.
