on my phone (sony ericsson k750i) it allows me to set pemissions for applications. one of which is 'internet access' which sets the program to always ask or ask once for internet access. does your nokia have a feature like this? (nb this option is not actually in the google local program)

My phone won't allow me to download this. The error message is related to the memory. |
Phillip, regarding your problems with "always asking for confirmation": http://google.com/glm/faq.html#22 HTH, |

Ah, that works! Thanks! I wonder why my other mapping program doesn't need me to set its permissions? |
Since the Google Local is a J2ME application, it would seem you have to specify the allowed access for it so the JRE knows what to allow it to do. Your other mapping program is probably a native Symbian app, which doesn't need such settings set.
