Noticed that Gmail just went past 2/3 of the way to 10 GB available. |
>> Now *that's* evil! :-D << I was expecting mrbene to say that... |
And I'm *only* using 277MB of it :-D
How many "Ye Olde Hotmail" account's could you fill with that! |
Haochi: I laughed. Truly.
Mrrix32: 3333 and a bit of another... I personally don't think MS has hit the same realization as Google has – I expect that they *actually* have 2 GB of HD space allotted for each Hotmail user, whereas Google is playing the odds that most people won't use most of the space. |
mrbene Isn't Windows Live Hotmail 5GB? :-) And the old ones where 20MB (I think) |
The old Hotmail accounts had 2MB.
One example of page from 2002 that mentions this embarrassing fact: http://www.activewin.com/editorials/articles/2002/hotmail.shtml (the comments are funny too: http://www.activewin.com/awin/comments.asp?HeadlineIndex=7703&Group=1) |
Sorry for the thread necro.
Mrrix32 – Yes indeed, it's 5GB now. Hadn't noticed that. Ionut – I remember the day that Hotmail got rid of sent mail older than 30 days, even when you weren't exceeding the 2MB limit. I made the mistake of syncing my Outlook Express with the server, including the sent mail folder. Everything, gone :( |
