Weird Adsense Email

So I received the following Email from Google Adsense. What's puzzling about it is I agreed to the terms of service a longggg time ago ... so I wonder if this is a boo-boo on their part ... plus I don't see any way to re-affirm that I agree to the Terms of Service.

The attorney wording is pretty strange at the end – almost makes me wonder if this was a forged Email ... although the Email headers say rv-out-0304-google.com (209.85.198.222) which appears legit.

Would be curious if anyone else got something like this,
alek

Hi,

As you may know, we recently updated our AdSense Terms and
Conditions to reflect upcoming product changes and ensure that
they're consistent with policies across Google.

We noticed that you haven't yet accepted the new Terms and
Conditions. To review them and indicate your acceptance, please
log in at http://www.google.com/adsense and follow the
instructions. Please be aware that all publishers must accept the
new Terms and Conditions in order to continue their participation
in the AdSense program.

You can find more information about some of the changes in the new
program terms by reviewing
https://www.google.com/adsense/support/bin/answer.py?answer=81794
. Unfortunately, we're not able to further interpret the meaning
of the Terms and Conditions for you. If you have additional
questions, you may wish to contact an attorney.

We appreciate your understanding.

Sincerely,

The Google AdSense Team

The terms have been updated three months ago:
http://adsense.blogspot.com/2008/02/updated-terms-and-conditions.html

You probably logged in and clicked on the "remind me later" button that is supposed to remind you every month that you need to agree to the terms.

Yep ... and when they were updated three months ago, I got the "click here to accept" when I logged in ... and did! ;-)

There are several new comments on that Adsense Blog URL above saying basically the same thing I said ... so thanks for the pointer – hopefully the Adsense folks will clear this up.

BTW, 4 dozen comments over in the Adsense Forums at http://groups.google.com/group/adsense-help-guidelines/browse_thread/thread/8114848ba8c65ce8/1175f2196ea3a4f1

So far, no response/clarification from the big "G" ... my guess is a boo-boo on their part.

Yeah, I came here to post about the same. I am pretty sure I had hit "Remind me later" but now that I got the email I was going to accept them. Only I can't find a link anywhere to do so, even though the email said there is one. That's led to all the comments/complaints alek mentioned above...people are getting the email but there's no instructions or links anywhere to accept the new terms.

From what I remember, if you click on "Remind me later" you'll be reminded in a month. So you should wait until you see terms when you log in.

But I clicked that when I posted about it here, which was approx. 2 months ago:

At any rate, they obviously wouldn't screw everybody over so I'm sure this will get resolved one way or another.

Just to follow-up on this, the Adsense folks chimed in on the Help Forum thread basically saying they goofed ... so as suspected, it was a boo-boo ... stuff happens.

Yep, they sent out an email as well:

Hi,

We sent you a message earlier this week reminding you to accept
our updated AdSense Terms and Conditions. However, the message was
sent in error, as our records show that you have already accepted
the new Terms and Conditions.

We sincerely apologize for the miscommunication and any confusion
caused. Please be assured that no further action is required on
your part, and you may continue to access to your account as
normal.

Sincerely,

The Google AdSense Team
