I believe it was on Search Engine Land where they said a while ago that Google would now add the onebox results and related results to the 10 "normal" results (e.g. 10 + 3), and not mix them for an overall 10 (e.g. 8 +2). Now Russell Ossendryver sends in information that a search for [cd labels] results in 13 organic results (more, if you include the shopping onebox on top) due to an inclusion of a "See results for: cd *covers*" middle part.
Here's the search, I can see the extended page as well: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=cd+labels
Does anyone know if this is new, or is it older (perhaps dating back to Search Engine Land's report)? |
I think it's new, but Google should remove the distinct layout for inline revisions and mix the results. |
