hello, i would like to discuss the possibilities for Google to provide Push for their GMail and GCal services.
Of course, this is following the announcement of MobileMe at the WWDC last Monday.

So you probably know Google more than I do.
WHat do you think they could do to provide a Push architecture? Do you think this is even plausible?

- As far as i am concerned I was thinking about an iPhone application that uses the Push Notification System that was announced at the WWDC. Could it be a solution?

- Would even want Push Gmail on your phone for example?

Right now its a big mess to sync your data especilly the horrible addressbook that adds everyone and anyone behind my back without even asking me...

Google should support the standard SyncML as hosted services, at least for Google Calendar and Contacts.
Every mobile phone supports it.
