My primary email address on the igoogle page was an Earthlink email address. We've had it forever. One of my sons got a gmail account and, he doesn't know how it happened, that is now my igoogle primary email address. My Earthlinklink email address is listed as an alternative email address. So far I haven't seen negative repercussions but I want my Earthlink email address as my primary one again; the way it was. It doesn't seem possible. Does anyone know how? You can delete alternative email addresses but it is grayed-out and I can't see how to change the primary email address.

You can delete the Gmail services from your account, but that will make the Gmail address unavailable for your son. It can only be re-registered through your Google account.

To delete the Gmail services open https://www.google.com/accounts/EditServices and press on Delete Gmail Services.
