Just finished posting about an interview I did with the Google Kenya office. Some interesting things happening around the world, especially concerning their strategy around internet speeds, IXPs and ISPs.

Are they caching just google's pages or other site's pages referenced in the SERP?

What is Global Cache all about?

They're caching everything that's been loaded one time within that country (IXPs) area. So, if you go to my blog one time and the GGC caches it, the next time anyone else in that country goes to the site it's pulling from that original cache.

They take care of dynamic content by pre-fetching it. Though it was in it's early testing stages (week 1) in Kenya, I found I'd have to manually refresh some website's pages (like Reddit) in order to get the most up to date items.
