[OT] Uninstalling Firefox add-ons?

How do I uninstall Firefox 3 add-ons? Some I'm using are not working/ enabled in FF3, FF3 always crashes on exit, but when I pick Tools -> Add-ons for some of these non-supported add-ons (installed for Firefox 2 or so) all the buttons, including uninstall, are ghosted and can't be clicked...

They're probably installed in other ways (e.g.: Gears, Lively, Earth use an installer for both IE/Firefox), so you may find them in Add/Remove programs. Google Screensaver can be removed from Google Pack.

If this doesn't work, unlock the extension by running Firefox in Safe Mode: http://kb.mozillazine.org/Safe_Mode .

Hmm, it wasn't until I uninstalled the Google Toolbar that the crashes finally stopped. (I still can't tell for sure but so far, no crash afterwards.)

... I wonder if this one's trustworthy as a replacement for the PageRank checking? It turns up as first and indirectly second result for a search for [pagerank extension], and is apparently a continuation of the older project:
