I don't know how long this has been in place, but I just noticed the canvas view for Gmail in the iGoogle sandbox has been updated. The ability to reply to an email has finally been added. This was very frustrating previously since you could read an email on iGoogle, but were required to go to the full Gmail interface to reply.
